Inside Mount
Check the window reveal has enough room to fit the Roman Blind. At least 45mm clearance is required. Make sure that there are no obstructions in the window reveal preventing the blind from operating correctly. When the blind is drawn up to its highest point, be aware that the stack of the blind will be between 300mm and 450mm depending on the drop and
operation type. Outside mount is recommended for this product.
Width
Measure the width of the window from the inside edge of the window frame from left to right.
Measure at 3 points, top, middle and bottom and supply the smallest measurement.
Drop
Measure the height of the window from the inside edge of the window frame from top to bottom. Measure at two points, left and right, and supply the smallest measurement.
Outside Mount (Installing Onto Architrave)
When Roman Blinds are to be installed as an outside mount, often the blinds are installed 100mm to 200mm above the window opening, where possible, to reduce the stack from hanging in front of the glass. This is especially important when installing over doorways.
Width
Measure the width of the window from the outer edge of the architrave to the opposite outer edge. Measure at three points, top, middle and bottom and supply the largest measurement. When possible, we recommend that 20mm-100mm is added to the overall width to ensure no architrave is visable and to assist in reducing the gap at the side of the blind, reducing light bleed and offering more privacy.
Drop
Measure the height from the top edge of the architrave to where you want the blind to finish. Measure at two points, left & right and supply the largest measurement. If you want the blind installed above the window, add extra height to the overall height measurement. When the blind is measured to go to the floor no measurement is to be added. If the blind is to finish at the base of the window, we recommend, if possible, that at least 30mm be added to the overall drop to assist in reducing gaps and offering more privacy.
