Inside Mount
Check the window reveal has enough room to allow the vertical blinds sliding and turning operation. Ensure there are no obstructions in the window opening that will prevent the operation of the product.
Width
Measure the width of the window from the inside edge of the window frame from left to right. Measure at three points, top, middle and bottom and supply the smallest measurement.
Drop
Measure the height of the window from the inside edge of the window frame from top to bottom. Measure at two points, left and right, and supply the smallest measurement
Outside Mount (Installing Onto Architrave)
When the vertical blind is to be installed on the face of an opening, this can allow for the product to extend past the window to allow for greater light block. Make sure the area is checked for any obstructions like furniture or light switches.
Width
Measure the width of the window from the outer edge of the architrave to the opposite outer edge. To offer better light control and privacy, it is recommended that the track extends past each side of the architrave. The size you take the track past each side is up to you, but it is recommended that at least 100mm, each side is added.
Drop
Measure the height from the top edge of the architrave to where you want the blind to finish. Measure at two points and supply the shortest measurement. If measuring to the floor, supply the total measurement. If measuring to the base of a window architrave, if possible, add a minimum 70mm to the drop measurement to assist in better light block and privacy.
